LH Shan
(Shaneyn x Prairie Jane)
Arabian gelding and best friend
November 18, 1975 - January 1, 2008

Shan was my first horse. I purchased him shortly after I graduated high school when we were both quite young and inexperienced. Throughout his 32+ years he was an eventer, endurance racer, dressage horse, camping partner, cow pony, polo pony, school master, trail companion, buggy horse, foal nanny, confidant, and best friend. My favorite rides were in the mountains and at the beach, with not a stitch of tack. He always took care of me when I was on his back.
Shan passed away peacefully on January 1, 2008. He is buried next to his old gal, Dorina, on the hill overlooking the farm.
Shan was not just my dream horse; he was my Fantasy Horse.
