Reuben's first foal goes PREMIUM!
TYPE:
Reuben SF, born May 18,
2004, is a gorgeous black stallion of modern Warmblood type. He does his jumping ancestors proud
with his tremendous desire and ability to jump. His temperament is phenomenal,
and he received 8's for Temperament and Character, as well as Ability to Work, at the 2007 Sport Horse Stallion 100 Day Test. Reuben has
wonderfully rhythmic and expressive movement, correct conformation, and classic beauty.
Reuben was bred by Serpentine Farm and exemplifies the goals of the SF breeding philosophy: horses that not only are outstanding in their type and conformation, are athletic and have a good work ethic, but also have excellent trainability and are wonderful to ride and be around. While I knew from the moment he was born that Reuben was special, it has always been up to him as to his future as a stallion. Fortunately, he showed me the qualities that made the decision to present him for Stallion Testing in 2007 easy. Those qualities included a temperament that not only would I want to pass on to his offspring, but that would allow him to thrive in the stressful world of a competing and breeding stallion. Reuben was, is, and will always be my "baby".
FUTURE:
Although Reuben carries top dressage bloodlines, he bows to his jumping ancestors by showing a tremendous aptitude and desire to jump. His technique is flawless and he jumps effortlessly and happily. Reuben is training and showing with Alejandro Salazar, competing in Hunters in 2010.

PEDIGREE:
Reuben proudly carries the blood of Rubinstein I, Furioso II, Weltmeister, and Werther. In German Sport Horse breeding the combination of the R and W lines are responsible for some of the most successful performance stallions in the world. Rubinstein passed his Stallion Test with outstanding results, receiving very high marks for rideability and a Jumping Index of 124.82. He went on to produce some of the top Dressage and Jumping sires in modern Sport Horse breeding.
Reuben's sire, Regazzoni */*/-/*/*, has produced 13 approved sons in Europe and several champion daughters. He scored 152.16 at his 100 day test with a dressage index of 140.53, and received 10's for temperament and rideability. Regazzoni is a son of Rubinstein I, legendary sire of European dressage horses.
Reuben's dam, Tequini*/*/*, (Frohwind*/*/*/*/* / Tin Rocco), a Premium foal and Premium mare, was Champion of her mare inspection and ranked third in her region for mares inspected that year. She is of very modern type, has tremendous beauty, and is an extravagant mover. Her sire, Frohwind, won his 100 day stallion test with 137.54 points. Frohwind is a son of Furioso II, who appears in the pedigrees of most of the great modern jumping horses throughout the world.

REUBEN'S BABIES:
Reuben has one foal, so far; a filly born in 2010, out of an APHA mare. The filly is registered ISR and earned a PREMIUM rating, with strongly favorable coments made about Reuben's improvement on the mare. He has two foals coming in 2011, both out of good quality warmblood mares, including Paloma. Given his genetic strength as evidenced so far, we are very excited about the 2011 crop.
