The Mares of Serpentine Farm
Mares are the foundation blocks upon which a successful breeding program is built. While choosing the correct stallion is vital, it must be acknowledged that mares have a greater than 50% influence on their foals. Besides providing their genetics, they also carry the fetus and then nurture the foal for its first months of life.
Serpentine Farm mares are selected not only for strong pedigrees, excellent conformation, and correct Sport Horse movement, but also for superior temperament and character. Several of our mares were selected specifically for the Serpentine Farm stallions, blending and reinforcing the most desirable attributes of both parents in the resulting foals.
