Reuben SF earns his provisional breeding license at Starr Vaughn, July 12, 2007

Reuben did me proud on a sweltering Tuesday in Elk Grove, CA, earning his ISR/Old. N.A. provisional license with the highest jumping index of the stallions presented, 77.5, with 8's for Ability to Jump and Technique. Reuben loves to jump so much, in fact, that during his free run, before he started the jumping portion of his inspection, he spied the jumping chute at the back of the arena and cantered straight in and over the first fence! In spite of his desire to show off to a crowd, Reuben was the perfect gentleman and showed everybody how nicely a three year old can behave among a group of stallions.

Ricochet SF wins top honors at the  ISR Oldenburg NA inspections at Starr Vaughn Equestrian.

Ricochet did his big brother and sister proud, being the THIRD TEQUINI FOAL IN A ROW to win top filly or colt at inspection. He earned a score of 8.2 points with especially high marks for his conformation and type. We were all very proud of his easy temperament and confidence on his first excursion. We have been so busy with breeding this year that Ricochet wore a halter for the first time just a few days before inspection, yet he behaved like a seasoned pro at the event: leading, trailering, being braided, and handling easily for the inspectors.

2006
Tequini (Frohwind/Tin Rocco) and Serpentine Farm did it again at the ISR Oldenburg NA inspections at Starr Vaughn Equestrian in Elk Grove, CA on July 27, 2006.

We started off by presenting the two-year-old stallion Reuben SF (Regazzoni x Tequini) for his "unofficial" stallion inspection. There were about a dozen stallions being presented for official inspections, but Reuben, as a youngster, was merely there for an opinion on his development at this stage. Sort of a "fish or cut bait' - or something else - recommendation from the German inspectors.  Lo and behold, he was given a tremendous nod of approval and a hearty welcome to return for his provisional licensing inspection next year. They especially liked his walk and trot. With the postponement of this year's 100 day test until next year, that will give Reuben just a few weeks to go from the inspection to the test site.

We then presented Thalla Leamsa SF, Reuben's full baby sister. Not to disappoint, she was named top filly with a score of 8.3. She absolutely charmed the inspectors and even got fun comments about her white knee spots and her unpronounceable name. Thalla is the third premium foal produced by Tequini, earning her mum her second star award.

At the inspection at Rainbow Equus Meadows on October 1, Suzanne Reed presented her first foal, Pasquale, SR (Pablo x Valentine Knight xx), along with his TB mom, Valentine Knight. Val was accepted into the main mare book with a score of 96 points. Pasquale, or Peabody as he is affectionately called, was awarded an overall 7.9 due to his lovely type and movement.

Back again to Rainbow Equus Meadows for the Hanoverian inspection where Suzanne presented her lovely Landkonig filly, Labhoise SR, out of D'Lady. "Libby received a very good evaluation from the inspectors and nice comments from the other attendees.

We can hardly wait for next year's inspections when we present Reuben for the "big time" stallion inspection and Regazzoni x Tequini #3, now in production, plus another Hanoverian out of D'Lady.

2004
Reuben SF (Regazzoni x Tequini) takes top honors at the Rainbow Equus Meadows ISR/Old/ N.A. foal inspections in 2004:

Ranked the highest of 13 colts presented, Reuben SF wowed the crowd and the inspector with is substance, style, and super movement. It was suggested that Reuben be raised as a stallion candidate. With his temperament, that will be a pleasure!

2003
Serpentine Farm is off to a healthy start at the ISR/Old. N.A. foal inspections:

Presenting a foal at the ISR/Old. N.A. inspections for the first time, Serpentine Farm was delighted when Tequini's chestnut colt, Wrainmaker SF (by Wradar), was named reserve champion of 13 colts presented.
